The Sauna You'd Actually Use: A Private, Lie-Down Infrared Ritual at Home

The Sauna You'd Actually Use: A Private, Lie-Down Infrared Ritual at Home

You've wanted a sauna for years. You thought it needed its own room, an electrician and an $8,000 budget. It needs a quiet corner of the floor.

The Restore Dome™ is a full-body infrared sauna you lie down in, at home, with your head resting outside in cool air. No appointment. No shared bench. No installation. Just twenty minutes of warmth that belong to you.

The problem

The sauna you'd love to use is the one you never get to.

Lying in gentle, enveloping heat is one of the few wellness rituals that feels as good as it sounds. So why does the habit never stick? Because everything between you and the sauna is friction: the drive, the booking window, undressing in a shared space, a 45-minute slot, and $60 at the door, every single time.

$42–80per studio session2
$199–289per month for "unlimited"2
3×/wkis what it takes for a plan to pay off

And the home options aren't much better. A sauna blanket zips you inside a sleeping bag with your arms pinned. A cabin needs a permanent footprint, assembly and often its own 240 V circuit.6 Either way, you sit up, you sweat into towels, and you still don't relax.

What a sauna at home actually costs

We priced every route to a regular sauna habit. Here's the honest picture.

Option Typical cost The catch
Infrared studio $42–$80 a visit; $199–$289/mo unlimited2 Travel, booking, a shared facility, a fixed slot. Costs more than a dome in year one if you go three times a week.
Gym or club sauna $80–$320+/mo3 Communal, hot-air, crowded, seated.
Sauna blanket $179–$6994 Zipped in, arms inside, one heat surface, towels and clean-up every time.
One-person infrared cabin $5,199–$7,4995 Needs a permanent space, assembly, often a dedicated circuit. You sit upright.
Traditional home sauna Thousands, plus electrical work6 Hardwired 240 V circuit, licensed electrician, permit.
The Restore Dome™ $2,995 (regularly $3,500), delivery included Unroll on any flat floor. Lie down. Head stays outside. No installation.

The solution

Meet The Restore Dome™ — the sauna you lie down in.

A woman sitting on her living-room rug beside The Restore Dome in caramel, with the heated mat and controller set up
The Restore Dome™ in Caramel: two shells, a heated mat and a controller. Unroll it anywhere.

Two overlapping shells — a larger one for your torso, a smaller one for your legs — sit on a full-length heated mat. Slide them together to fit your height, lie back, rest your head on the cushion, and let the warmth build around you while you breathe room-temperature air, read, or doze.

  • 42 far-infrared lamps. 24 line the dome in a 180° arc and 18 sit in the mat, so the heat reaches you from every side — not from one surface like a blanket.
  • Three independent heat zones. Set the upper dome, lower dome and mat separately from the external controller. Warmer on your back, gentler on your legs, or the reverse.
  • Graphene carbon-crystal heating holds a steady, even temperature, and the dome interiors are lined with ochre stones that warm and radiate heat back toward you.
  • Your head stays outside. No claustrophobia, no gasping for cool air. The neck cover holds the warmth in around your shoulders.
  • Complete set, zero installation. Both shells, heated mat, head cushion, neck cover, controller and cables. Unroll it on any flat, dry floor and plug it in.

Five things that change the day it arrives

Space

You thought a sauna needed its own room. The Dome lives on a rug and slides against the wall when you're done.

Price

A fraction of a cabin, and less than a year of a three-times-a-week studio habit.2

Convenience

Your next spa appointment is down the hallway. No drive, no booking, no slot that ends before you've unwound.

Relaxation

Lie down, warm up, let the day go. A session you can actually relax through, not sit through.

Privacy

The full spa experience without sharing the sauna. Your room, your music, your silence.

Everyone who lives with you

Adjustable zones and a head-outside design mean it suits a partner, a parent, or a teen athlete as much as it suits you.

A studio habit, 3× a week

  • $2,388–$3,468 in year one on unlimited plans2
  • The same again next year, and the next
  • Booking window + drive + shared facility
  • Usually seated, usually 45 minutes

The Restore Dome™ at home

  • $2,995 once — regularly $3,500
  • Electricity only from year two
  • Whenever the floor is free
  • Lying down, head outside, as long as you like

The honest part

What infrared heat can and can't do.

We won't promise you a detox or a cure. Here's what reputable sources say: sauna time is relaxing, produces a satisfying sweat and can temporarily ease tired muscles — and the research behind bigger claims like "detox" is thin.1 What we can promise is this: none of it happens if you never go. The Restore Dome™ removes every reason you don't.

How a session goes

  1. Place. Unroll the heated mat on a flat, dry floor and set the controller beside it. Connect the cables to the mat and both shells.
  2. Settle in. Lie on the mat with your head on the cushion outside the dome and drape the neck cover around your shoulders.
  3. Cover. Position the smaller shell over your legs and the larger shell over your torso so they overlap at your hips.
  4. Set and let go. Choose a temperature for each zone, start conservatively, stay hydrated, and read the safety notes before your first session.

Who it's for

Women who want the sauna habit they keep skipping: the evening wind-down after the house goes quiet, the post-workout stretch, the midday reset between calls. People who find blankets claustrophobic and cabins impractical. Anyone with a quiet corner of floor and no appetite for electrical work.

Not for you if you want to sit upright in a cedar room, or if your healthcare professional has advised you to avoid heat. Consult them first if you are pregnant, taking medication, sensitive to heat, or managing a medical condition.

Frequently asked questions

Does my head really stay outside?

Yes. The shells cover you from the shoulders down; your head rests on the cushion in room-temperature air, with the neck cover holding the warmth in.

Is there steam or water?

No. The Restore Dome™ produces dry infrared warmth from lamps and heating elements — no water, no plumbing.

Does it need installation or special wiring?

No installation. Dimensions, weight, power rating and temperature range are being finalised for the listing; write to contact@flawlessrituals.com if you need them before ordering.

How much room do I need?

Enough floor for one person to lie down. It unrolls on a rug, a bedroom floor or a home gym, and the shells lift off and stack when you're done.

What colours are available?

Caramel is in stock. Cream and Black are currently sold out.

Is delivery included?

Yes — delivery is included in the price.

Is it a medical device?

No. It is a home wellness product and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Follow the safety information on the product page.
